Instructions

Construire les ingrédients (sauf le/la Sirop de grenadine) dans le verre réfrigéré de Highball. Remuer doucement. Ajouter le/la Sirop de grenadine. Garnir avec le/la Cerise, et le/la Rondelle d'orange.

The signature look of the drink depends on adding the syrup without mixing with the other ingredients. A spoon may be used to guide the syrup down the glass wall to the bottom of the glass with minimal mixing.

Sirop de grenadine: La grenadine est un sirop de couleur rouge, à l'origine à base de pulpe de grenade. Elle est encore fabriquée ainsi dans les pays méditerranéens, mais en France il s'agit aujourd'hui le plus souvent d'un assemblage de 10 % de jus de fruits rouges et de vanille, ou de leurs extraits, le tout éventuellement avec un peu de jus de citron, seuls quelques producteurs artisanaux restant fidèles à la définition originelle. Les fruits utilisés varient dans leurs proportions selon les marques : framboises, cassis, groseilles, sureau, fraises, citron. Si on utilise des extraits de fruits, on parle de sirops aromatisés à la grenadine. En Belgique, c'est également une « limonade aromatisée » c'est-à-dire une boisson sucrée, colorée en rouge et aromatisée, sans trace de grenade.
Tequila: Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila 65 km (40 mi) northwest of Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands (Los Altos de Jalisco) of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. The red volcanic soils in the region of Tequila are well suited for growing the blue agave, and more than 300 million of the plants are harvested there each year. Agave grows differently depending on the region. Blue agaves grown in the highlands Los Altos region are larger and sweeter in aroma and taste. Agaves harvested in the valley region have a more herbaceous fragrance and flavor. Due to its historical and cultural importance, the region near Tequila was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006, the Agave Landscape and Ancient Industrial Facilities of Tequila.
